Inspired Monthly Tracking Sheets

If you’re anything like me, you geek out over office supplies of all types: fun office decor, sticky notes in an endless variety of shapes/sizes and colors, paper and digital planners that keep you organized and on top of things, fun wall calendars so you can see your life at a glance, and out of the norm bronzy/wood paperclips, thumbtacks and binder clips.

Is that you? Do we totally get each other? Then you’re gonna love this way of tracking your month and year :-)

If you love goal setting around the vision you have for the different areas of your life, you know how important goals in the role they play in directing our day to day.

I’ve found with goals, especially the big ones, that it’s important to also track our progress, because sometimes it may feel like we aren’t getting there fast enough. The truth is that things take time, and if we enjoy the journey to our destination, we don’t mind the time it takes to get there.

I took some time at the end of September and looked back through my 2020 calendar, listing all the virtual coffee dates and events I participated in, new friends I made, milestones I hit and things I learned each month and thought to myself “looking back, this is incredible! I need to keep track of this as it happens”

I enjoy daily journaling, but Monthly tracking, seeing the month at a glance, allows us to see just how much progress we’ve made towards our goals and how incredible life is. It boosts our over sense of progress and well being.

I created these sheets as a simple way of tracking what happens each month, so that at the end of the year, I can easily look back at a few sheets and really see (and enjoy) all that’s happened in the year.

I print my out and keep them with me, updating them as needed. And as I start things adding up, am in true awe.

Because here’s the thing: Our life is what we make it, and these sheets are a way of tracking and being intentional about:

  • Creating a vision for our month: what type of month do we want to have? What do we want to focus on? What do we want to bring in/release?

  • Learning the lessons we need to learn: turning our ‘challenges’ into learning opportunities that will serve us

  • Gifts we’ve received: if we see that life is happening for us and appreciate the little things, we see that they are actually the big things. This could be receiving a physical gift, or gift of time with a loved one, or time spent doing something you love…a gift is anything you enjoy and see as a gift

  • Progress made/milestones achieved towards long term goals this month: because an accumulation of short term goals brings us to our long-term goals:

  • Ways we celebrated and loved ourselves this month: because this is essential, and we want to make sure we’re mindful of celebrating and loving ourselves on a regular basis.

  • Ways we shared love with others: because we need each other and we fill our cups so we can in turn pour into others in a way that feels really good and fulfilling.

Quarter 4 (October, November, December) is a time when I like to start reflecting on the pass year, and start creating a vision and plan for the year coming up.

With the transition into the colder months and shorter days, I love turning inward and connecting with my soul, her desires and dreams, and giving appreciation and gratitude for all I have, all I’ve experienced, and who I am today, in this present moment.

So if you’re feeling like this is a great time to do the same, I hope these tracking sheets I’ve created assist you with this process and make it fun and more organized.
